How the two modes work

Survival: move, collect sparks and choose upgrades. The clock counts down to dawn. The nightkeeper arrives when 0:40 is left; defeat it, then hold on until 0:00. The clock pauses during upgrades.

The vault: WASD to move, arrows to fire, or hold the pointer on a target. Arrows at the edge point to shadows out of view. Clear six rooms. Between rooms choose recovery or more damage. Death means a fresh run.

On touch screens, use the left stick to move and the right stick to aim in the vault. Movement continues while held. Release to stop.
